LATEST UPDATES

  • The City is preparing the Wanneroo Town Centre Precinct Plan, which will replace the Activity Centre Plan 90 (ACP 90) to meet the new planning framework.

HISTORIC UPDATES

  • The Minister for Planning approved Amendment No. 200 to District Planning Scheme No. 2. It was published in the government gazette on 10 February 2023 and took effect from that date. [Feb 2023]
  • Council endorsed the draft ACP 90 in July 2019, after which it was forwarded to the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) for its consideration and determination. The WAPC has deferred further consideration of ACP 90 pending the outcome of an environmental assessment for Lot 9000 Wanneroo Road, Sinagra, which is being undertaken by the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA). Information on the progress of the environmental assessment, can be obtained on the EPA’s website via the following link - Urban Development of Lot 9000 Wanneroo Road Sinagra. The City will notify all submitters once the WAPC has finalised its assessment of ACP 90 or if further consultation is required as a consequence of the EPA’s assessment. Unfortunately, the City cannot provide a timeframe in which this will occur given the assessment process is outside the City’s control. [Dec 2021]
