Cr Wright Request to bring LPP 4.3 Public Open Space to Policy Review Committee

Local Planning Policy 4.3: Public Open Space (LPP 4.3) is an important policy that influences the outcome of the City of Wanneroo’s (the City) public open spaces. In recognising this, Councillors are keenly seeking its review to ensure that it remains fit for purpose and ensures the delivery of public open space that meets the needs and expectations of the community.

Kemp Street Traffic Management

Mobility Mapping - Development of a Project Proposal

To consider the preparation of a project proposal for a comprehensive mobility mapping within the recommended areas in City of Wanneroo that are important hubs to access basic services and facilities.

Intergenerational Practice Program

A briefing note was provided to Councillors with further information as requested. It is agreed to continue to support community groups currently undertaking such programs.

Service Level Plans

The establishment of Service Plans by service unit level is essential to enhance transparency, accountability, and effectiveness in the allocation of financial resources. A more detailed service unit planning approach is required for the upcoming financial year 2024/25, utilising a recognised and robust template, as provided in Attachment 1, for consistent implementation in future budget cycles.

CURRENT STATUS

This item was referred to the next Service Review Working Group. Service Level Plans have been fully implemented through the 2024 Budget process and Corporate Business Plan.

Mayoral and Deputy Mayoral Monthly Engagement Report

To propose that Council receive a regular report of meetings and functions attended by the Mayor and Deputy Mayor on behalf of Council.

Request for Policy for BMX Tracks

Request for Traffic Management Scheme in Kemp Street, Pearsall

To consider the installation of a traffic management scheme on Kemp Street, Pearsall to address the issue of speeding traffic on the road.

CURRENT STATUS

Traffic assessment results have resulted in a scoring 33 as majority of the drivers are complying with a small number going 80kph over the limit. Current funding levels allows those roads scoring 60 or above to be considered for traffic management treatments.
